Masala Tea is a flavoured Indian tea made by brewing black tea with a mixture of aromatic spices.
When the weather is getting cold, i always have a cup of Masala tea in the morning.
I prefer make it by myself, cause i would like to add more spices to get strong flavour. What do we need for two cups of Masala Tea (Simple Version)?
- 4 pieces Cardamon
- 1 piece of cinnamon
- Cinnamon power (i use it for stronger flavour, if you think 1 piece of cinnamon stick is enough, then it is ok)
- 5-6 pieces Cloves
- 1 big piece ginger
- Milk
- Black tea (Assamese tea, i used Earl Grey)
- Honey / Sugar
Cooking Tips:
For chinese, to cook black tea, we use 90℃ hot water; for making Green tea, we use 100℃ hot water. So i make tea and milk separately.
Step 1:
Boil milk with all spices together for 4 or 5 mins.
Step2:
Boil water, then prepare black tea seperately in tea cup.
Step 3:
When tea is ready, add cooked milk into black tea, mix them in tea cup, add honey / Sugar / Sirup based on your taste.
Finished, then please enjoy it.
